The bible tells us that as Christians, we are the “Salt of the Earth” and “the light of
the world...that a city set on a hill cannot be hidden.” (Matt 5:13-14) Salt helps to enhance the flavor of the food it is sprinkled on, affecting its taste and bringing the flavors to life on one’s palate. Salt also acts as a preservative, helping to maintain food by inhibiting unhealthy growth.

Likewise, our lives as followers of Christ should affect the lives of those that come into contact with us, counteracting the moral decline in the world, as we strive to spread the good news and maintain the peace of God. Let your line shine and encourage others to seek after and bring out the “flavor” of God in their own lives, so that they may taste and see that the Lord is good (Psalms 34:8)
